I'm a person of many interests and have an opinion about all of them, maybe even more than one. I blame it on being a native New Yorker. But truth be told, I left NYC by the time I was 5 so I don't know what I should blame it on.

I hope to use this space to share some of those opinions, er, thoughts on sights (and sites), sounds, tastes, reads, the world we live in and life in general. It's a blog, right, aka solipsism at its finest, n'est-ce pas? For an idea of what that might include: I currently reside in Seattle, and get out and about in the region as time/money/weather permits. I hack around some in the kitchen -- the Minimalist is my cooking muse -- and brew my own (award-winning) beer. I am a big football and moderately big futbol fan. My mood (and blood pressure) has been known to rise and fall with the fortunes of the Denver Broncos.

Music has been a long abiding passion. It does seem as if there is a non-stop soundtrack in my mind's ear, mostly of the alt.80s or indie variety. And I try to get out to see some band a couple of times a month so if you see me at gig, say hi. When so inspired, I review by haiku.
